The retail chain JCPenney is offering a new collection of Mexican-inspired cookware developed in partnership with chef Jenny Martinez.
The affordable new collection, called Mesa Mia is now available in JCPenney stores and online.
“JCPenney is more than a department store for me,” Martinez said. “Growing up, my mom would always take us shopping there for everything, from back-to-school gear to new pots and pans. To have an exclusive cookware line being sold at JCPenney nationwide is a full circle moment for me. JCPenney will forever hold a special place in my heart.”
Martinez is a celebrity chef and social media influencer who shares her family history through recipes and cooking demos on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram.
Martinez is a big believer that home cooked dinners should be celebrated every day, as she continues on her mission to unite families with her passion for authentic Mexican cuisine.
And if you’re going to do things right, you need the right tools.
The Mesa Mia collection offers JCPenney buyers a variety of cooking tools essential to creating Mexican cuisine, such as cast iron tortilla presses and molcajetes, which is a Mexican version of a mortar and pestle, and is used to crush spices or make guacamole.
The collection also draws on the chef’s home town. Martinez is a native of Chapala, a town in the Mexican state of Jalisco not far from Puerto Vallarta, so the new Mesa Mia set includes designs based on Chapala flowers and terracotta.

The new, exclusive collection, Mesa Mia by Jenny Martinez, features cookware, tools, kitchen textiles and small appliances ranging from $19.99 – $199.99.
Products in the line were co-designed and developed by Bergner, a global producer of fine cookware.
