Krypto the Superdog is getting his own pet accessories line, available now on the DC Shop in advance of the July 11 premiere of Superman.
Clark Kent’s adorable and bullet-proof dog Krypto may be the most hotly anticipated element of the upcoming Superman movie, given a starring role in the film’s first trailer.
DC Studios has now released a new collection celebrating the super pup. In addition to being made available online at DC Shop, most of the items can also be purchased at Hot Topic in North America, as well as select retailers in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Australia, India and Japan.
The launch coincided with a special Superman segment that aired during Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl XXI on Sunday, February 9.
The new Superman and Krypto inspired items include a bandana and t-shirt (available only on DC Shop), a Krypto coffee mug and a premium poster featuring Krypto as he leaps into action.
The collection also includes Superman-themed pet costumes, with classic designs that have a cape, plus versions with legs for extra cuteness; a Superman Plushie dog toy for playtime; a Superman dog blanket; and a collection of collars and leashes.
Written and directed by James Gunn, the upcoming Superman is the first feature film from Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Studios, and is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
