Morton Salt recently partnered with Stan’s Donuts & Coffee for a limited-edition Salted Caramel Old Fashioned Donut.
Stan’s Donuts & Coffee is a U.S. restaurant chain that primarily serves freshly-made donuts, coffee, and all-day breakfast items. The Chicago locations of Stan’s Donuts were initially started in 2014 through a partnership between the Chicago-based baker Rich Labriola and the brand’s original founder Stan Berman.
The limited-edition donut featured Stan’s traditional Old Fashioned recipe topped with a caramel glaze and finished with Morton Coarse Sea Salt.
“We’re very excited to collaborate with Stan’s Donuts to offer this delicious, one-of-a-kind treat to our fans and customers as we begin to celebrate Morton Salt’s 175th anniversary,” said Morton Salt’s Kristin Edstrom. “Since 1848, Morton Salt has remained a trusted authority in salt in North America. Stan’s Donuts, known for its highly inventive and tasty donut selections, has done a great job honoring our rich heritage through this thoughtful and timeless donut concept.”
Morton Salt is a US-based salt manufacturer that produces products for a wide array of industries including culinary, water softening, household, road deicing, food processing, chemical, pharmaceutical and more. The Morton Salt company has established a presence in the licensing industry through its long-standing Umbrella Girl logo and array of salt products.
“It’s an honor to partner with Morton Salt, an iconic brand who shares our passion for enhancing the joy and sweetness in everyday moments,” said Labriola. “Our teams’ mutual dedication to detail, quality, and consistency make this a natural partnership.”
The Salted Caramel Old Fashioned Donut with Morton Coarse Sea Salt was available at all 15 Stan’s Donuts Chicagoland locations throughout the duration of the licensing collaboration. The donuts could also be ordered and delivered nationwide through Stan’s Goldbelly website. The licensing promotion ran from Jan. 18 to Jan. 31, 2023.
