Bluey and Ground Up Release Children’s Shoes For Kids Foot Locker

March 14, 2023

By Allison Watkinson

TLL Reporter

Ground Up International is releasing a Bluey footwear collection in partnership with Kids Foot Locker and BBC Studios Kids & Family.

Jointly commissioned by BBC Studios Kids & Family and ABC Children’s, Bluey is a 2D-animated series that was created and written by Joe Brumm and produced by Ludo Studio in association with Screen Queensland and Screen Australia. The preschool series follows a young puppy and her friends as they engage in imaginative play. The show is distributed internationally by BBC Studios Kids & Family outside Australia.

The licensed Bluey footwear collection by Ground Up will include high-top sneakers and slip-on shoes for all toddler sizes.

The high-top sneaker features an illustration of the characters Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli in rubber applique. The back of the shoe features the Bluey logo and a woven tab inspired by Bingo’s magic feather wand.

The slip-on shoe features a white and beige striped canvas with the left shoe adorned with Bingo and the right adorned with Bluey as they play a game of Keepy Uppy with a red balloon. The back of the shoe features the Bluey emblem embedded on the heel.

Both footwear styles in the collection feature Ground Up Internationals’ interlocking logo and will be available for purchase at Kids Foot Locker retail locations.

The licensed footwear collection will be celebrated by an in-person event in New York City on March 25. The upcoming event will feature activities such as face painting, balloon animal artists, snacks, a live DJ, Bluey character meet-and-greets, and more.
