The popular anime franchise One Piece will once again illuminate the Las Vegas skyline this month as part of a special activation timed with Licensing Expo 2025.
Toei Animation just announced that a custom animation celebrating One Piece will be displayed on the Exosphere—the massive LED-covered exterior of the Sphere in Las Vegas—from May 19 to May 21.
This 90-second animation, which originally debuted in June 2024, holds the distinction of being the largest One Piece display in franchise history. The Exosphere is the world’s largest spherical structure, standing 366 feet tall and 516 feet wide, making it a fitting canvas for the high-profile anime.
“Toei Animation is thrilled to showcase One Piece at Licensing Expo 2025 with an encore of our original activation on the Exosphere,” said Lisa Yamatoya, Senior Director and Head of Marketing at Toei Animation Inc. “On the heels of last year’s global anniversary, One Piece continues to grow exponentially from brand marketing efforts like this, increasing its passionate fan base and driving demand for licensed merchandise and location-based entertainment.”
Produced by Toei Animation and based on the bestselling manga by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece follows the adventures of the pirate Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Crew as they search for the legendary treasure known as the “One Piece.” Since its debut on Japanese television in 1999, the series has become a cornerstone of global pop culture, attracting fans across generations.
Beyond the animated series, the One Piece franchise includes 15 feature films, video games, a trading card game, and a vast array of licensed merchandise across categories such as apparel, toys, food, and more. Toei Animation will meet with potential licensing partners during the expo at booth #C196 in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
New episodes of One Piece—currently in the Egghead Island arc—continue to stream weekly following the series’ simulcast resumption in April.
For updates on One Piece, fans can follow Toei Animation on its various social media platforms, as well as the official One Piece English YouTube channel.
