Nex and Sesame Workshop have launched a new gaming experience called Cookie Monster’s Cookie Factory as part of their multi-title collaboration.
The new release marks the fourth and final licensed Sesame Street game to be launched for their collaborative partnership.
Cookie Monster’s Cookie Factory is designed as a puzzle adventure game that allows players to use their bodies to control widgets such as sliders, conveyor belts, claws, springs and fans to transport and sort cookies.
The game was developed to promote crucial skills for early childhood development like problem-solving, cooperation and hand-eye coordination.
“From the beginning, our collaboration with Sesame Workshop has centered around one goal: to support whole-child development through joyful, active learning experiences,” said Nex Playground chief pediatric advisor, Dr. Emily Greenwald. “Across all four titles, we’ve intentionally focused on early childhood skills—gross motor, early literacy, communication, and now, with Cookie Monster’s Cookie Factory, puzzle-solving,” added Dr. Greenwald. “This final game is a perfect example of how movement-based learning can spark cognitive growth and giggles at the same time.”
Available exclusively with the Nex Playground’s Play Pass subscription, the collaborative gaming experience offers multi-player capabilities, 30 unique levels and in-game commentary and narration from Sesame Workshop’s Cookie Monster character.
Fans can access Cookie Monster’s Cookie Factory, along with the other Sesame Street games, exclusively through Nex Playground consoles with a Play Pass subscription.
The previous gaming experiences developed through the Sesame Workshop and Nex partnership are titled Elmo Says, Move & Groove with Grover and Elmo & Abby’s Magical Letter Hunt.
“From Elmo to Grover to Cookie Monster, these games with Nex combine joyful movement with purposeful learning,” said Sesame Workshop supervising producer, Tina Moglia. “Cookie Monster’s Cookie Factory is a sweet finale that shows how educational play can be just as fun and active as it is meaningful.”
The Nex Playground game system can be purchased online through Amazon, Best Buy, Target and Walmart, as well as in select retail stores throughout the U.S.
Certified kidSAFE+ COPPA compliant, the Nex Playground system offers a growing library of interactive games and educational experiences from the company’s portfolio of in-house and officially licensed entertainment IP.
