The animation studio, ZAG has appointed WildBrain CPLG to represent its newest licensed property, ZAG HEROEZ Ghostforce.

WildBrain CPLG is an industry-leading entertainment, sports, and brand licensing agency. The agency is a part of WildBrain Ltd., a global leader in kids’ and family entertainment.

With more than 45 years of experience in brand management, WildBrain CPLG provides its clients with licensing and marketing expertise in addition to fully-integrated product development and legal and accounting services.

The world’s spookiest superheroes, ZAG’s Ghostforce will now be repped by Wildbrain in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Under the terms of the new Ghostforce licensing deal, Wildbrain CPLG will be responsible for representing the Ghostforce brand across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

The licensing agency also represents ZAG’s wildly popular flagship property, Miraculous – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. This new licensing agreement builds on WildBrain CPLG’s strong relationship with the ZAG animation studio.

“The expansion of our partnership with ZAG to represent an exciting new brand like Ghostforce and develop new licensing extensions, is testament to our success in the market for Miraculous – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir,” said Sibylle Gondolf, Managing Director at WildBrain CPLG, GAS.

“We know that children across the region are enjoying the stories of these ordinary kids who become heroes, with solid ratings to prove it, and we are looking forward to bringing the characters to life through merchandise.”

Ghostforce is a CGI-animated, action-comedy series for kids and families that follows three junior-high school students who form a superhero team to defend New York City from supernatural forces. Ghostforce is co-produced with De Agostini Editores S.P.A.

Ghostforce originally launched on Disney Channel in Germany on September 20, 2021, and it quickly became a market leader on all commercial kid’s channels.

“Since launching last summer, Ghostforce has been earning spectacular ratings which is translating to increased demand for branded merchandise,” said Helena Perheentupa, SVP of ZAG Play Toy Division.

“We’ve already signed some fantastic partners including Rubies, BlueOcean, Panini, and Edel who will bring Halloween costumes, magazines, books and more to the market, and ZAG Play and Playmates will be launching the Ghostforce toy line,” Perheentupa added.

“We look forward to working with our trusted partners at WildBrain CPLG to expand our roster of licensees and bring our Ghostforce fans new ways to engage with the brand.”

ZAG is a global independent entertainment studio that specializes in plot and character driven narratives across TV, film, and digital platforms. The studio was originally founded in 2009 by Jeremy Zag.

The company’s ZAG Play division focuses on developing engaging consumer product lines based on the studio’s popular brands.

The first wave of the new Ghostforce toy line from ZAG Play and Playmates will feature figurines of the main heroes and a collection of ghost-themed ‘boo capsules’.
