Ryan Reynolds Cracks Breakfast Code with Egg-cellent Tim Hortons Collaboration

May 6, 2025

Scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and a side of Vancouver air: Tim Hortons teams up with Canada’s favorite wisecracking export.

Tim Hortons has teamed up with proud Canadian Ryan Reynolds to launch a new breakfast item that’s as bold as a Deadpool monologue and just as satisfying.

Ryan’s Scrambled Eggs breakfast box is now a real thing, and is available at participating Tim’s locations across Canada and the U.S.

In what might be the most delicious case of art imitating breakfast, the collaboration was unveiled in a hilarious new ad created by Reynolds’ agency, Maximum Effort. The commercial riffs on the Hollywood concept of a “rider”—the list of demands a celebrity makes backstage—with Reynolds requesting Tim’s coffee, his new signature breakfast box, and, naturally, a jar of fresh Vancouver air.

Somewhere, a PA is still chasing that air with a mason jar.

“There’s something really special about collaborating with such an iconic and beloved Canadian brand,” said Reynolds, who apparently did rigorous field research by consuming “an irresponsible amount of eggs” at the Tim Hortons Test Kitchen. “Honestly? I regret nothing.”

The Ryan’s Scrambled Eggs box features two scrambled eggs made from 100% Canadian freshly cracked eggs, crispy hashbrowns, your choice of bacon strips or sausage crumbles, and a generous dollop of Tim Hortons’ Chipotle sauce. It’s a hearty morning sendoff that may or may not come with its own superhero soundtrack in your head.

Hope Bagozzi, Chief Marketing Officer for Tim Hortons, was full of praise for Reynolds’ hands-on approach to the project. “Ryan has been a great partner and so enthusiastic about leaning into his own love of the Tims brand,” she said. “This collab brings together great taste, fun storytelling, and the kind of breakfast you’d fight Wolverine for.”

The partnership was first teased ahead of the much-anticipated release of Deadpool & Wolverine, fueling speculation that eggs would soon become a central part of the Marvel cinematic breakfast universe (MCBU).

Founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario, Tim Hortons has been a fixture in Canadian life for over 60 years. Known for its Original Blend coffee, Double-Doubles, Timbits, and those sweetly nostalgic Iced Capps, the brand now operates nearly 6,000 restaurants worldwide. It remains Canada’s largest quick service restaurant chain and, in some circles, the unofficial federal Ministry of Coffee and Donuts.

And no, there are no tariffs on the Ryan’s Scrambled Eggs box.

For Reynolds, this is just the latest in a long string of business ventures that includes everything from aviation gin to British football teams to wireless companies—and now, breakfast. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just egg-curious, this limited-time collaboration is cracking open a new chapter in celebrity fast food branding.
